Jogging is not only easy but also healthy. It is one of the most enjoyable ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle, too. That is why a lot of women start jogging to keep themselves fit and healthy.

Following are 5 jogging tips that women should follow to achieve good results for their health and shape.

1. Jog in the morning

The best time to jog depends on when it is most convenient for you but early morning is the ideal time to do so. In the early hours of morning, the atmosphere is especially fresh, clean and least polluted. The air is also moist, which is good for your respiratory tract. Especially, the oxygen content is higher, so you receive more oxygen than you would later in the day. This can help you burn more calories and boost your metabolism right away.

2. Warm up and cool down properly

It is always to take up some warm up exercise prior to a jog because it prepares your muscles for your jog. You can do some stretching, jumping or other mild exercises for 5 to 10 minutes, which will help you in relaxing stiff muscles and reduce your risk of injury. After your jog, you should also do 5 to 10 minutes of cooling down to prevent lactic acid buildup, which can be painful and uncomfortable.

3. Dress properly

A good pair of quality running shoes is a must when you start jogging. Try to choose a pair of shoes that fit you properly to avoid any pain in your feet while jogging. Besides, you should wear loose-fitting clothes with synthetic fabric that wicks the sweat off your skin. Stay away cotton clothes and heavy woolen clothes. Apart from comfortable clothes and running shoes, women should wear a well-fitting sports bra, which supports your breasts and minimizes discomfort and sagging.

4. Jog regularly

To make your jogging a success and see changes in your health, it should be best if you make it a habit. Do not discontinue your jogging session because of reason but include jogging time into your daily schedule.

5. Jog at the right pace

In the first days of your jogging session, just cover one kilometer before gradually increasing it to 2-3 miles per week.
